Enjoy the Silence 3-Day Silent Retreat
November 16, 2017 - November 19, 2017
Everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. -Anne Lamott

Join Roger Rippy and the YogaOne Community for this short, electronics-free, silent retreat. By detaching from electronic devices and a constant state of being "busy", "on" and "doing", in silence and meditation, you will find the space to access a greater sense of self-awareness, focus and inner peace. The meditation practices plant the seeds for expanded consciousness and easing suffering. For those who have not been on silent retreat, this is a great introduction to the practice. For those who have been, this is an opportunity to regain the power of the experience.

The seated meditations will focus on the heart qualities of lovingkindness, compassion, sympathetic joy and equanimity. These four immeasurable heart qualities are said to set the conditions for enlightenment to arise. In addition, yogis will learn and practice meditation techniques from Yogananda, author of Autobiography of a Yogi.

Winter is the perfect time to hug back in to what's essential and take stock of what you'd like to hold onto and what you'd like to let go. Taos, New Mexico is one of the most beautiful and historically spiritual communities in the Southwest United States, being sacred land to the Native Americans who continue to reside there today. It rests in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains range of the Rocky Mountains. Blue Sky Retreat Center lies on 3 acres of beautiful land with a meditation path, labyrinth and space for opening up to the infinite blue sky.

Each day has seated and moving meditation opportunities (indoors on a yoga mat or outdoors), a dharma talk and Q+A time, otherwise it is silent and blissfully electronic device-free. Unplug so that you can learn to operate again from calmer and more connected space. Investment: $699 share room, $799 Single Room, first 8 registrants get $100 off.
